Once you have a basic WordPress site up to show your Photography, there are a few things you can do to spice it up and make it look more professional. RC Concepcion takes you through the things he likes to use to make the most of using WordPress for Photography.

  4. Using a Flickr Gallery in A Post (04:43) Flickr is rapidly becoming the de facto website for sharing all of your images. Learn how to leverage Flickr into your posts by adding galleries from Flickr onto your page
  5. Adding Video to a Post with Blip.TV (05:45) Variety is the spice of life. Chances are you will need to post a video outlining a technique or step. Hosting videos is easy on a Wordpress installation using Blip.TV
  6. Installing The Shadowbox Plugin (04:50) A more feature-rich version of the Lightbox is called Shadowbox. RC talks about how to install it to the Wordpress site.
  7. Using Photoshop Zoomify with Shadowbox (13:54) RC talks about how to leverage Photoshop CS4 Zoomify features into a blog using Shadowbox

  10. Purchasing and Downloading a Theme - Elegant Themes (08:55) Sometimes paying for a theme gives you a better look and feel. Elegant Themes produces some great themes, and RC shows you how easy it is to purchase and download one.
  11. Configuring Elegant Themes Thumbnails with Custom Fields (09:49) Once you have the theme downloaded and installed, RC goes through some basic customization of your themes.
  12. Modifying the Look and Feel of the Template (11:25) Learn how to modify the look and feel of your Wordpress site based on this theme.
  13. Using JQuery Based Gallery instead of Default Gallery (10:28) Flash galleries do not show up on iPhones. Thankfully Jquery-based galleries like Galleria do! Learn how to install a plugin to turn your simple gallery in Wordpress into a Smooth fade gallery
  14. Adding Posts to Categories, Sub Categories and Multiple Categories (10:55) Once you have posts on your websites, you are going to need to create order by making categories. RC goes over how to add categories, subcategories, and adding files to multiple categories.
