UPDATE NOTICE – 4/5/12:
GOOD NEWS! The update to the Light It app has been submitted to Apple! From what we could see during the testing phase, it looks like all known issues with Downloads and subscriptions should be fixed.
Push Notifications: The addition of push notifications through Newsstand looks to be the key to the fix. One Note about Push Notifications: You may want to adjust your push notification settings on your iPad. If your settings allow for immediate download via the notification, you may experience a slow down due to thousands of apps downloading at once. The file size increase is not too much bigger since we already had high-rez photos to begin with but we won’t be certain if a slow down could occur until the next issue comes out at the end of the month. If you have experienced slow downloads in the past, your push notification setting is something you may want to consider changing.
Account Button: The next update will contain a more streamlined, easier-to-use version of the account button within the app. This will allow you to sync up to 5 iPads (no iPhones) and it will allow you to go in and make changes such as removing a device or correcting an email.
Now that the app is in Apple’s hands it’s just a matter of waiting through the approval process.
Once again, we would not have been able to pinpoint and correct this error that affected roughly 1% of all installs if it weren’t for our users’ patience and willingness to help us troubleshoot each report. Thank you!
